Watched Aquaman 2 last night....yeah, it was not good. The effects were unfinished. The dialogue and plot were corny, but not in a fun way like the first movie. Since a lot of the visuals were bad, you never felt like you were getting a tour of a cool alien world, like the first movie. Instead, it was more like a budget TV show.
It wasn't a painful watch though. There was no point where I was waiting for the movie to finish, like, for example, the Eternals or Shang-Chi. For a two hour movie, that's not bad. I guess, that says something. I wasn't quite fun enough to be a so bad it's good movie either. It just kind of seemed like there were a lot of points, where the people making the movie just did not give an F.
The last scene with Mamoa literally has him ending with a speech to the world, on what is supposed to be a serious topic, where he ends it with: "I'm Aquaman! Ya hoooo!!".
And no Mamoa shirtless scenes. I'm assuming that was because he's gotten a little bigger these days.
