Apologies for the late reply, but my flight home on Sunday ended up being delayed to Tuesday and I got sick on that day. I have been bed-ridden for the better part of the last two days.
I thoroughly enjoyed ceremony and game as well as all the Kipper-related amenities.
Every speech was pure class and when Kipper first stepped out onto the carpet and the Dome broke out into a "Kipper" chant... I got emotional.
Regardless of what happened, I was happy that #34 was where it belonged.
This was my view of Kipper's speech and the number raising. I originally recorded and uploaded the entire ceremony, but that video ended up getting copyright claimed. I intend to edit and upload a Vlogcation video of my trip.
While I never had the honour of meeting the real Kipper, I did experience the next closest thing.
It's great that the Flames didn't fall short
again when honouring one of their legends (especially the one that I idolized the most) and that, finally, I am not a jinx anymore (1-1 attending Flames games in Calgary, 0-4 in Winnipeg).
