This is an awesome deal cause it seems SJ had too many dmen.
Even if he ends up being a tweener, all it cost us was a 5th.
A 5th is much less valuable than what we just got - someone with immediate NHL potential as a top 6D.

Like I said, in a vacuum it probably doesn't matter. It just became a pattern with Treliving that he would send away mid-late picks for depth Dmen and face punchers every year, and eventually that pick deficit adds up. It's something I would like to see not continue under Conroy.
Time will tell with this guy, but at least he's an RFA and not just some veteran bum who'll play 20 games and walk. So in the end I think it's just okay. Don't know why you immediately jumped to me being upset.
