This is why a Markstrom trade is so significant. If Edwards so so deluded that he thinks the team is a contender, then there is fundamentally no hope for the direction of the franchise as long as he is manipulating things.
I think the occurrence of the trade itself is more important than the value attained. Because it says everything about the state of the organization.
