Plus, Iginla, as good as he was, wasn't as highly regarded when traded. He had 33 goals/71 points for Kamloops the year he was drafted (though he had won the Memorial Cup with them). But AFTER he was traded he exploded in junior for 63 goals/136 points in 63 games. And then he won gold at the WJC.

You are not quite correct here, as posted in the other thread.

If you are saying Iggy was more highly regarded after he was traded, this is of course true, but not fair to say he was not highly regarded when he was traded.

As in any trade discussions, many options were brought up, including Todd Harvey, who had been the Stars’ first-round draft choice, ninth overall, two years earlier.
