With this deal (and the Tanev trade), the bidding teams were likely offering the same picks in the same range. So you can call the VGK, BOS, and TB 2025 1st rounders a wash. Then you move on to the secondary picks and prospects on offer. Evidently, the Flames have been following Miromanov and Grushnikov closely, and like them better than the prospects offered in other deals. So it comes down to whether you trust the Flames scouting department.
