Guys, Conroy did his best, ok? That's all we can expect. And Big Brain Nonis signed off on it. So it must be a good return.
So let's stop analyzing and just enjoy our regularly scheduled enemas.
Conroy: Can I have Edstrom?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Brisson?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Cormier?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Cataford?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Miromanov?
McCrimmon: Who? Let me call you back.
(five hours later)
McCrimmon: My team tells me that is a player. So sure. You have a deal. Under two conditions...

So are you going to make up what you think happened to justify your comments? Why not look at the whole body of work instead of looking for something to be negative about? You know it's like when the team loses a game and then somebody's going on and on and on and on about the fact that they lost when it was just a hockey game.
There's no malicious, Conroy is a rookie, GM doing the best he can with what he was given by the previous GM. He played as a Calgary Flame and there is no question he cares about the team, and the organization. But to sit there and criticize something when you don't know what really went down at the very end is just silly. Do you think Conroy was looking for the worst deal, or are you just looking for an opportunity to find something wrong with his effort?
Conroy's not a bad guy he's been giving a very difficult job to do that he's had to do within a short time frame, against a lot of circumstances that that makes the process difficult. Including the players preference.
If your mom, or your dad lacks money and doesn't get something that you want, but still gets you something they could afford; Do you go on and on and on about it?
Conroy is doing the best he can and he's likely going to get better at it. Let's enjoy his body of work because at least he has a plan and he is trying.
