Where is it getting stuck?
In my days of moving there's a few things I learned.
- remove everything you can. Legs, pillows, etc.
- Most often the couch will go in; usually 1 arm at a time. Position the couch so that it is almost upside down- so that if somebody was sitting on it and had their arm on the arm rest their arm would be pointing to the 10:00 position.
- Wiggle that arm through, and then move it into the apartment so that there is room again to move it once the other arm needs to come in.
Another option- can you remove the door to the apartment? I would think that would be easier than trying to hoist it onto the balcony.
