Guys, Conroy did his best, ok? That's all we can expect. And Big Brain Nonis signed off on it. So it must be a good return.
So let's stop analyzing and just enjoy our regularly scheduled enemas.
Conroy: Can I have Edstrom?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Brisson?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Cormier?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Cataford?
McCrimmon: No.
Conroy: Can I have Miromanov?
McCrimmon: Who? Let me call you back.
(five hours later)
McCrimmon: My team tells me that is a player. So sure. You have a deal. Under two conditions...

So is the point to convince as many Flames fans as you can to be more sad about a trade than they are currently feeling?
Otherwise I don't understand the need to sarcastically attempt to rub people's face in it.
I've said weeks before this trade that the plan was always a pick, a player and a prospect.
The pick should be a first --- check
The player is likely a cap dump but could be an adder --- missing
The prospect is hopefully a B or above --- don't think so
They added another pick.
They may have a line on an unprotected 1st
So this is a plus for the pick column (potential for unprotected), a plus for avoiding the cap dump, and a minus for the prospect because I don't think he's a "B" on any list (5th on McKeen's I think), and a plus for an additional pick that could turn into a 2nd.
You'll excuse some of us for not jumping off a cliff?
