I would agree that Glenmore Eastbound can be ugly at 4pm as the foothills industrial area is clearing out, however that will hopefully be addressed soon as they are going to have that twinned/widened shortly.
Actually access from Langdon is one of its strong points. 22x to the south, Glenmore to go central, 16th Ave for north.
Driving times to hit the city are approx......
from Langdon to Calgary...
Via 22x - 20 minutes
Via Glenmore Tr. - 11 minutes
Via 16th Ave (Hwy 1) - 18 minutes
I really dont see any major access issues from Langdon. In the 9 years I have lived in Langdon I have never found myself caught without options should there be a delay on one of the routes.
Oh, one other note, they are just starting to build an overpass at the Hwy 1 turnoff to Langdon, so that will make things a little speedier too.
