That was in the offseason.
I meant being willing to move guys with retention going back to last deadline when the Eastern Conference was in a full blown arms race.
Thing is last year in the East the two teams that did nothing (Florida and Carolina) were the ones that made the Eastern Conference finals, so they all burned pucks for nothing and have fewer assets this year while also feeling burned by last year.
The highest pick an Eastern Conference team has moved this year is a 2nd for Wennberg.
