A 2027 draft picks leaves Conroy waiting 7-8 years to see a return on a Hanifin trade. That simply doesn’t hold the same value as a pick in the upcoming draft.

I largely agree with you but disagree with one thing. The rebuild or retool can’t happen through one or two drafts. They have to hit a couple home runs but it has to be at numerous drafts to keep the pipeline running, much like Colorado or Dallas have done. Given what we know about this years draft, I’d be happy to get future 1sts over this one anyway.
