With such a valuable asset, I hope Conroy can get more than magic beans for a team that really wants the player and has cap issues.
At some point, probably sooner than some here hope with the grand 5 year plan, some of these picks will be parlayed into warm bodies by Conroy, so if there's an attractive, longer term current roster peice on the Lightning, or wherever Hanifin goes, if he goes, that player should be inquired about and forego that draft pick in 2 or 3 years.
As far as Markstrom goes, there's no concrete evidence that since NJ inquired about Markstrom almost 4 weeks ago, that there has been any further exchange after the Flames rejected. Just hockey twitter, reddit, and bored insiders and wanna be insiders trying to keep some rumor alive for clicks.
