Found this interesting. Maine state House on just approved joining the National Popular Interstate Vote Compact. Basically it's a compact to circumvent the Electoral College. States in the compact will assign their electors according to the outcome of the total national vote for president.
There's currently 205 votes from states in the compact, Maine would add 4 more.
Once there's 270 votes in the compact they all go into effect and the EC becomes a thing of the past. In theory anyway, I'm sure this would all end up in court.
