Seriously though, I don't know about the reservoir issue, I thought they purposefully kept it lower at this time of year, releasing more water, to make room for spring floods. That water goes back to the Bow anyway, though it does short-cut past the weir leading to the irrigation system. So I would think usage wouldn't matter so much right now. But we may need an MBates of water systems to step in, I may be out of my depth.

My friend is high on the totem pole of dam stuff around here. I'll ask him, but his usual answer is, 'it's bad'. I also blame him for letting too much water out early last year given there wasn't enough snow pack to refill. My guess is they won't be as aggressive in dropping the levels this year, but who knows? Certainly not mister English degree over here. Either way, I'll continue blaming both my friend and my bath-loving kids for Calgary's water problems.
