So listening to JP Barry and Elliotte Friedman talk about Pettersson today is super interesting. It was 3 days from the start of talks to signing. Rutherford and Allvin pulled Pettersson aside and made their pitch. It was a mixture of "This will be big for the team, big for the fans, but also big for you since we can see the stress this is causing" and "We can't walk you to Free Agency."
