This quote from the sportnet article doesn't make much sense:

If they felt this way at the point they traded him, why not just sit him? You are trading him for futures anyway, so it has no impact on your on ice product. The Flames are icing the same team until the trade deadline either way so I hope this really wasn't a factor in deciding whether or not to wait another week.
