You have to sign it. But we're not in backflip territory about the contract here. Although I understand the elation with just being able to keep the player at all.

EPs extension kicks in at 26 rather than 30 for Huberdeau.
Elias was also an impact player since day one of his career, rather than Huberdeau spiking late.
Also EP is a much better all around player.
EP has a much higher likelihood of living up to the contract IMO.
Decent chance of outperfomance for EP throughout the contract and a very low chance of under performance IMO.
