agree or don't, its fine. It's a contract they had to sign but there is ZERO discount here IMO. I think for 11.6M 100 Points is the minimum. Lets not forget Gaudreau and Huberdeau tied for 2nd overall in NHL scoring when the Flames offered them 10.5M. I will eat my hat if Pete is #2 in scoring any season during this contract, he is currently 11th.

If the expectation with the huberdeau 10.5 aav contract was 90+ points perennially (because people rationally didnt expect 115 as the norm), then the expectation for EP's 11.6 has to be 100.
I have a feeling it will be hard to live up to for more than half of those contract years.
You have to sign it. But we're not in backflip territory about the contract here. Although I understand the elation with just being able to keep the player at all.
