Gotta be honest, don’t remember the last time I felt so down turning on a Penguins game. Knowing that we’re waiving the white flag and that Guentzel is the goner just sucks. It never should have gotten to this point. And Dubas waffling on what he’s looking for in return does not exactly inspire much confidence, even if I think a return of prospects probably is a better choice rather than a return of draft picks.

That's the 2nd shift this line has controlled the puck for the entire shift and done nothing but skate it around the perimeter with no one ever getting open or screening the goalie.

So much zone time and so many passes and one hopeless shot - the story of the Pens.

But we effectively killed off 2 minutes off the clock...

The Pens are clueless how to score goals either 5v5 or PP. Just a lot of skating around and passing with no one in front of the net for deflections, screens, rebounds, etc. If it weren't for Crosby being superhuman, this team would be sunk.

DOC why in the actual #### do you think another drop pass is going to be successful when Crosby LITERALLY JUST drop passed to you

I love how it has been a consistent thing for years under Sully where the Pens can play like 20+ great minutes of hockey and then completely unravel in the span of two shifts

Letang certainly screwed up on that GWG, but Graves get some blame, too. Thst happened during the seven seconds Calgary was on the Powrr Play. The correct play was for him to shoot it down the ice.

This game may have just ended our playoff push. How can anyone say with any confidence that this team has any chance at competing for the cup?

Not an overraction. Season is done. Missing jake and rust, as well as constantly blowing leads. Sell and retool for next season is the smart move

This 45-50 minute team has tuned Sully out. Get back to our game and play the right way means nothing. Day don’t care. Pfft

Wow. This is ridiculous. The players have quit. That's the only explanation for such repeatedly putrid performance. I hate to say it, but they might need a total rebuild now. And that means...trade Jake and Jarry for good return, jettison Geno or trade him for a low-round draft pick, and maybe trade Petterson only because he has good value right now. Then burn it all down for a season and come back stronger afterward.

I feel like every game I’ve watched this year has been a blown lead or overtime loss. And I’ve watched a lot of ####ing games.

When these Pens' get put on their heels by an opponent they're almost completely incapable of changing the momentum.

Just from watching the scores, seeing a 4-3 loss is like "damn, it sucks they lost but that's a close game". Watching this team blow a 3-1 lead with like 10 minutes left in the 3rd due to their own stupidity? Yeah, I get why people are pissed.

There is not a compelling reason to NOT blow this team up, except if you're counting on Sidney Crosby's existence to drive corporate sponsorship revenue 3-4 years down the line. Purely looking at it from a hockey perspective, this group is done competing. Crosby, Malkin, and Letang can play on Stanley Cup contending teams, but it won't be together here. It will be as supporting characters in other situations.

This is the rub. This team could have had a chance at a cinderella story, but we'll never know because they were too scared or too arrogant to do anything that could have made a difference.
