That's more similar to Conroy and Tanev agreeing a couple weeks ago that it would be best to move him to a contender.
Not getting the job isn't the same either. The closest would be getting the job and then having the company tell you the night before you start they changed their mind.
Life goes on but you still have a right to be annoyed.
