It sounds like this is going to happen, and probably soon too.
Probably for the best. This team has too many distractions around it right now. It'd be nice to finish out this year just letting anyone still on this team after the trade deadline just compete their hearts out and not worry about anything else. Make a case for a place on this team next year.
I think this capitulation by Jersey means they'll likely be able to make a deal, but I don't think you'll see Mercer involved. Sounds like they just don't want to let him go.
