What goes into their thinking though? Why not a bottom feeder? If he gets you back a mid first, good prospect and a B prospect over the long term it’s much more valuable than having him for two years just to be in the middle and hurting your own draft pick. He’s not the only goaltender who can train Wolf, out there. Again I don’t know the full story but it’s very short sighted to play him out when you want higher calibre young guys, and he can’t get you some great future pieces.
