A couple things. At first I had to admit I was wanting more but when you broke it down it made sense. I think Dallas won out because the Flames seem to like Grushnikov. The other reason I like it, is you need some of these prospects that have marinated for a season or two as it typically takes a second rounder 3 to 4 years. I recall Conroy, when discussing Iggy as an assistant to the GM, asking can you have too many draft picks. I think the flames are finding that balance. 9 picks so far in this draft, with probably more to come.
Time will tell, but if he is a Dman that can play with an edge, like some of the things that were mentioned, then I think this will turn out well. Hoping he can be Radko Gudas type Dman. We seem to have a bunch of the smaller great skating Dmen. So an addition of his type is a good thing.
