My read on why Grushnikov was interesting was all the reports of his defending but he also moves the puck out of the zone very very well. He moves reads plays well and moves things up the ice.
Less time in the D zone = less time you have to defend.
I see and understand the appeal and that's the way they want to build this new roster out tailored to a quick transition game.
