It's a mediocre return for Tanev given the reported interest. Which is fine. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to accept a mediocre deal over a week before the deadline.

By all accounts the market wasn’t there. Conroy and company must have known that holding off an extra 8 days wasn’t going to enhance the offer or return a first round pick. Better make a trade your happy with then risk injury by waiting, especially if they could sense this was as good as it gets.
