Ugh, I know Mercer is ideal. I want him too. But Holtz is just as sexy a player to snag in a Markstrom trade.
Just depends on if the Flames can land a center in another trade.
Like a forward core moving into the building that has, Zary, Pelletier, Coronato, Pospisil, Holtz, and say a kid like Lundell? That's upside bonanza. Then you sprinkle in vets who feed off youth like Huberdeau and Kadri... that's a novel retool of the fw group.
