Strangely Prophetic Predictions

Wit the lack of maturity and game preparation we have, I expect Calgary to go up a few goals after one.

Seriously, instead of stomping on a team, we give them all of the momentum in first periods.

Yup, that's what I expect as well. Sleep walking with no intensity for most of the first 2 periods and then coming out like gangbusters in the 3rd with all kinds of desperation. The problem is that if the other team gets decent goaltending, we tend to gag on our chances and then blow it in our own end. If we continue to play like we have the last couple games, I doubt we win. As much as I hate the Flamers, they have been playing decently lately, and would probably like nothing better than to extend our misery, and help drag us back into the wild card race.

If we lose this place is going to be an insane asylum lol

This team went from fantastic defence to pretty much the worst in the league suddenly. Every shift is a disaster. They’re passive as hell. They are t battling except the third. they are going to miss the playoffs if they keep this up.

Two goal deficit with an entire period left, that game's definitely not over.
It's really annoying that when we won 16 games straight we gained a whopping 4 points on them. And now that they've lost 4 straight we're struggling to maintain mediocrity.

This drives me crazy from a coaching point of view. McDavid and Draisaitl get rewarded for their #### defensive play and get put on a line together only to get scored on again lmao.

They put us in a hole and then it becomes well now that we’re here our best chance to get back into the game is to stack Mcdavid and Drai.

Other players should be getting more opportunity and 97/29 should be dialed back and certainly shouldn’t get to play together when they’re why we are down 2-0.

As always, on and off the ice, every damn mistake is entirely self-inflicted. They don't show up prepared to play, their details game is AWOL, and they get behind and consequently behave like an undisciplined, frustrated team. Big f***ing surprise.

There's never a great time to have your game fall apart, but this recent stretch reminds me too much of the beginning of the season. Bad efforts interspersed with decent games where they can't score.

Thankfully have spent tonight out on a great birthday dinner instead of watching the pretenders apparently get speed bagged by a hungrier team in midst of selling off and retool. After Hyman’s goal they went back to being undisciplined, and defence kept ####ing crumbling. Ever since the ASG it’s been the same ####ing story. Each loss they fail to show up on time, and they end up having to chase with the inevitable folding in the 2nd period.
Skinner has been ####ing dog####, defence is no where near what Coffey had them doing, and the offence is way too predictable. This team has gotta get it together.

Bold prediction: the Oil won’t make the playoffs. Given their schedule and lack of consistent play, and awful defence, they will end up on the outside looking in.

I think this team has an attitude problem. They have the skills to get it done, but recently they start games entitled and not moving their feet. Then when they get down they get whiny. They let their emotions get the best of them. If collectively they put their heads down and put in the effort every game, they would have better results.
