I think like Lindholm all the players know Hanifin is gone. But Tanev and Markstrom sound like they are the heart of the team. Think it’ll be a tough one for moral if they both go. I get that it’s pro sports and it takes two to tango. But you have to show some loyalty.

I think trading Markstrom could kill the room, especially hearing how the players talk about him. The players will probably be more forgiving of a Tanev trade because they get it, he is a pending UFA. Markstrom doesn't need to be traded and doesn't really seem interested in it, even if he is willing to accommodate one. If Markstrom goes, they will probably be a little pissed that they worked so hard this season just to be thrown into what would be an obvious tank job. I doubt they give one hoot about higher draft picks.
