Trump favorability 44% and still rising, Biden holding steady at 40%.

If the election were held today, Biden would not only lose the election, he would also lose the popular vote. It's not just a hunch or a suspicion, it's a near mathematical certainty. There's still time between now and November for things to change, but if the election were held today, Biden would get trouced. There's no question about that.

I don't know about all of you, but I'm doing my best to come to terms with the fact that the entire concept of democracy is on its death throes. The entire concept of freedom as we know it is on very thin ice. This is the likely fate of humanity. Our world is doomed to once again become a dictatorial ####hole, and this time we will never emerge from it. We're screwed.

When people wonder why I sound the alarm so loudly about wealth inequality, this is why. The rich always come together and coalesce their resources to find ways of constantly expand their power, constantly making things better and better for themselves at the expense of the rest of us. Even if the majority of people want things to be a particular way, the concentration of most of the world's wealth into a tiny sliver of the world's population means that the world is ultimately an orligarchy. The real power in this world is money... the rest is smoke & mirrors.

For decades republicans have attacked and defunded education, knowing that a dumbed-down population is easier to decieve and hoodwink. For decades they've used voter suppression tactics to help them win elections that they otherwise wouldn't win. For decades they've used their vast resources to fund think tanks and propaganda outlets, spreading lies and fear to corral more and more people into drinking the right-wing kool aid. For decades they've hoodwinked the masses with nonsense such as trickle down economics, climate change denial, anti-LGBTQ talking points, and more, leading to disastrous consequences. And in recent decades they've taken full advantage of the electoral college to secure multiple undeserved presidencies and supreme court seats, leading to catastrophic consequences and turning America into the embarassment of the world.

What annoys me the most about all this is, it was never a fair fight. With the money and resources the right wing has always had on their side, they were always destined to get their way on everything. There can't be a true competition of ideas when one side has dramatically more opportunity to blast their message out to the masses and advertise directly to each voter, than the other side does.

And the other annoying thing are the voters who pretend that spiting Biden because of Gaza is more important than preventing the emergence of the 4th Reich. They know better. Those of you know know the stakes here and are pretending not to know... cut it out. You know better.

I am not interested in another Trump Presidency either but a lot of what your saying is a little far reaching. Democrats have plenty of money flowing their way, Democrats are playing enough party politics with the American people, Democrats have taken advantage of elections in their own way and to their benefit. It's politics and it's a democracy. It's far from perfect but it's better than the alternative. Democrats have won more than enough Senate, House, Governor races and more. The Democratic party in the US is not the Calgary Flames, they aren't struggling with wins and championships. They win and you can't win them all.

If Biden does end up losing it will be for a lot of factors but a key one is how long he and a lot of other establishment style people have been in office. Going back to the 1980 election we have had a Bush, Clinton, Obama, Biden as either President, VP, Sec of State. Biden is the prime candidate for 2024 and there is some talk about bringing in Michelle Obama to potentially run (doubtful IMO) It's almost like nobody else can run America other than less than a handful of people. It's embarrassing for America and both parties are to blame. Trump is still considered a political newbie with his sole 1 term but Biden has been around for 50+ years. Things like that are significant factors that the Democrats downplay but your average voter does not.

The thing with Trump voters is they feel they are not being heard and nobody cares about their issues and their concerns. Perhaps that was more probable during the 2016 election than it is now but still. Talks about "Undeserved election wins" make this less about a democracy and more about your side or myside or whoever's side just maintaining control. It's healthy when there is a back and forth in elections wins across the board.
