I'm not opposed to this kind of trade - even if they are risky. And it should be noted that for most of these trades, the team sending the prospect also added a pick or another minor piece.
Don’t disagree with your general premise but Zibanajed was a proven entity. He had 51 and 46 points the previous two years, virtually the same as Brassard. The Sens made that trade because Melnyk was cheap as #### and Brassard was way cheaper in terms of real dollars than Zibanajed was going to be. Terrible trade because of a terrible owner.
