They're just learning from the US. If the international court doesn't abide by the "rules-based order" created by the West, then just don't accept their decisions. Maybe they'll come up with their own ruling in Israel, similar to in the US with their "Hague Invasion Act" that was signed into law by Bush junior that protects US military and politicians from laws of the international court and includes allowing the US to use whatever means necessary to free any detained Americans, including the invasion of the Hague (thus the informal name of the bill).
Human Rights Watch, along with other human rights organizations condemned the act back when it was introduced and signed into US law.

EDIT: I see now during the evening news that the US was the only country to object to today's cease fire motion at the UN. It was mentioned that the UK abstained (oooooo, you're going against your owner, UK, you best have an explanation for this!).
