The last 1st rounder that was a bust for the Flames was Mark Jankowski. Granted the jury is still out on Pelletier and Coronato, but the organization is much better off with prospects like that in the system. Having guys like Zary, on ELCs, is invaluable.
The Lindholm trade was a home run. The alternatives were let him walk or re-sign him to a disastrous long term retirement contract.
