Fair enough.
Now, I'm no Penguins fan...but I think Sidney Crosby is easily the greatest player to ever lace 'em up. The man does everything. He scores, he assists, he backchecks, he makes his linemates better, he protects the puck, he wins board battles and faceoffs and furthermore...he just wins.
I hated his whiney face when he came into the League and I hated that everything had to be about 'Sid the Kid' but now? As a Hockey fan taking away all regional bias?
I think he is the unquestionable GOAT.
Although I would also put Jagr up there and, honorable mention...if he'd managed to stay healthy, Mario Lemieux. He had it all.
If you could genetically engineer the perfect hockey player it'd be Lemieux.
