Tanev is a classic TDL day acquisition. Least amount of salary, make sure he is still healthy and the acquiring team is as sure as it can be for the health and playoff chances of its team. Might as well wait to the deadline and line up the offers.
Hanifin is tough because he may end up just being a rental. I am sure they are working the extended Hanifin angle, but it may be that the return isn’t worth it, especially since Boston and Florida may not have the draft capital or young players to dangle. I am expecting an oddball team to make a good offer as a rental. Either way, he ain’t coming back, so get what you can.
Markstrom is even more difficult. So many moving parts amongst roster players, draft picks and retention for a player who is not a rental. I would hope it happens sooner rather than later, but it is so hard to say. I wouldn’t be shocked if he stayed a Flame until the summer. Wouldn’t be shocked if he was traded tomorrow.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
