you just have to take a good look in the mirror amd be honest with yourself ... this team is 24th in the league, and that's with Hanifin, Tanev and Markstrom. This team is going nowhere, and that's okay. You just can't keep going like this and hope to sneak into a playoff spot and get all of two home games.
There's good young pieces and a solid prospect pool already, just need to add to it. The Flames are in a prime position to build for a great future ... two upcoming UFA defensemen and a great goaltender who has rebounded and rebut his trade stock. That's perfect for a team that needs an injection of high picks and prospects in the worst way ... just need to be honest with yourself.
It's okay to suck for a bit. You want to have a good team in place when the new barn is ready? Then embrace it. Sell.
