Speaking of chess… a while back I was at a thrift shop in the southeast and came upon a beautiful hand carved chess set that featured Cowboys on one side and Indians on the other.
I wondered “oh, is this problematic?” And then I decided “no, because this is actually a fair fight.”
That said, it becomes problematic if the colonizers play first.
IMO.
Ultimately, I declined to purchase because they wanted $1100 for it, but if I had like, $75k extra lying around, I’d probably still buy something Lord of the Rings themed instead.
