Especially given Markstrom’s age, I don’t imagine teams are placing value on the years once this contract expires and the ability they will have to re-sign him.
I guess we can debate everything but sure seems like Markstrom in particular is right at his peak value.

So how does this logic apply to, say, Nazim Kadri? If a team acts now they could have him for 6 playoff runs!
