The east also has the Panthers of 2023 fresh in their minds for the ‘just get in’ mentality. The devils have a really good team that has underperformed so far this year largely due to goaltending woes. I think with all the smoke that the Devils certainly seem motivated to make a splash and with Daws tiding them over with some wins they are in a great position to deal from a position of strength for a position of need. Markstrom would be a big get for them.
