" going up sporadically. In many cases they are much, much larger masses as compared to the single-storey bungalows they're replacing and that they neighbour adjacent to (for now...). Not to say we don't need more of this to make this city more sound from a planning and financial standpoint, but it's stuff like this that makes urbanists come across as effete ######nozzles to a lot of people.
I had to laugh at the remark "If each of these four units comes with a basement suite built in (they
definitely won’t all do that)," because that's exactly what happened with the one down the street from me...

I'm just glad I'm not the immediate neighbour; to say having an eight-unit rowhouse building go up ain't no big thing for that homeowner is a slap in the face.
