So far, all the subtractions have not seemed to kill the fun or positivity in the room. If anything, the mood has seemed to improve. Of course, we are still very likely going to see Tanev and Hanifin leave via trades. It's hard to say how that will affect the room, but there will likely be some negativity when that happens, because they are such big parts to the team.

If Markstrom can be the glue that other players can rally behind, then I think we should keep him at least for this season. I know there is a desire for some to just bottom out completely and get as high of a draft pick as possible, but that is also a huge funk to dig out of. You want to keep things positive while all these changes are going on and give the players some hope and reason to compete hard.
