That is a pretty bizarre take.
More likely he's a lot more settled this year and has regained his confidence. After losing it in the Oilers series, plus some of Sutter's extreme motivation tactics he was letting in early and often weak goals every game. This year he's managed to eliminate giving those up. I suspect Markstrom wants to play as well as possible regardless of which team he's playing for
