Also, if your phone is inactive, won't the undelivered text messages just sit and wait until your SIM becomes active again? It's like when your plane lands, and everyone switches their phones out of airplane mode and you suddenly hear a bunch of text notifications all over the plane.

For longer trips, the incoming texts are lost, and people say they received delivery errors. This is my experience with anything 1 week or more when using other SIMs. Maybe it’s a third-party Rogers reseller issue with how long text messages live on the network.
