Hooo boy. I had a very random dream last night that Kevin Rooney was like a gate-keeper to the door that leads down to my basement man cave. I didnt even realize until now that he's even on the flames, havent thought about the guy in 3 years and cant remember a dream where a hockey player just pops up for no reason. Im being dead serious.

He was on waivers about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Maybe even a little longer. He hadn't played all season and had been on the injured reserve from an injury he got I don't know if it was in camp/preseason or the offseason.

People here were actually suggesting we claim him because he's better than Tierney, Willman, Dowling, etc. Except I'm not really sure he is better than any of them. Certainly not at this point in his career.

He was first waived by the Flames I think in December of 2021, and I don't believe he's played a regular season NHL game since.

Hopefully the Devils can break the Flames fans fantasy that their team is actually pretty good after the trade. That teams prescription is a rebuild and destroying them completely is the perfect medicine to make it happen.

I don't think players or people involved with the team called him Rango, only some of us on this forum.

I'd rather just call him Yegor than Shara. Yegor is just as easy to say as as Shara (both 5 letters, 2 syllables) and and there was no one else on the team with the first name of Yegor while he was here.

Shara also sounds like a mispronunciation of Chara lol.

The price may be steep but if you believe Markstrom can be your guy for the next few years, you gotta go out and get him. I hate parting with draft picks but if Fitz can make it happen without giving up a Casey, do it!! This team has NO CHANCE to go anywhere with this putrid goaltending. Vitek was slow getting over there on that goal. We also lost the puck in the opposite corner despite having two men go in there. Our D does not kill plays efficiently.

Better kill off this penalty because losing our composure and allowing multiple goals once we get scored on has been one of our biggest problems all year.

Our effort and skating were generally good but I would say that after the first ten minutes the game was basically even. Calgary is not a bad team.

It's not just Vitek. It's our system. Lindy Ruff is a loser coach. He coaches losing teams and losing franchises. His mentality is losing.

We are screwed when Fitzgerald thinks Ruff will somehow solve the problems. Fitzgerald needs to grow a pair of balls and fire the problem.

Ruff actually seems defeated in the presser.

Ruff said he thought about pulling Vitek after the 3rd goal. He didnt want Daws going in after a long layoff so that's why he didnt.

Two things, why didn't he start to begin with then you f***ing moron? And instead he comes off a longer layoff and plays a better team coached by a guy that shows how pedestrian you are as a head coach?
