The original poster said ‘on command’, to which I took it as giving their blessing for the attack. Hamas coordinated the attack but if Iran did not give their blessing, the attack would never have happened. If Iran is so upset at the effect, it’s telling that they continue to blow up regional security with continued attacks on international commercial trade ship trades in the Red Sea, using the Gaza crisis as their crutch and proxies as their human shield. It’s sickening.
To your second point, no, I think most people will look at the carnage and blame Israel (especially those living in the Middle East). Interesting how the Saudi-Israel deal was abandoned shortly after October 7. Another win for Iran. Just wait until they obtain nukes.
