Hanifin in his first 3 years in CAR:
239GP 18G, 83P, -53
Liljegren in his time in TOR(he had 2 cups of coffee, and then made the roster full time):
171GP 13G, 51P, +37

Trading for a soon to be 25 year old dman who cannot really stick on a team with at best mediocre defencemen does not instill much confidence in me. Most dmen who make an impact in the league have done something of note by their D+7 year.
By that time Brodie had played 2 full NHL seasons and had a 41 point and a 31 point campaign.
By that time Rasmus had played 4 full NHL seasons and put up a 50 point campaign.
I would not hold out much hope for Liljegren. The package that was proposed was basically Knies, him and a 1st plus a cap dump in a UFA who holds negative value for a Vezina calibre goalie this year and a dman that is expected to fetch a 1st on their own and is one of the most sought out assets on the market. If Markstrom is only worth Liljgren, a cap dump with negative value and Knies I think I would rather keep Markstrom.
