Now I know it isn't THAT easy, but its not just futures you get. It not having that contract so you can sign another UFA in the future , when your competitive window opens. In the next 4 years lots of good FA's will be avail. We have to be patient and then strike properly.
It's the flexibility to get other players AND assets trading Hanifin provides

Because Hanifin is not that common. You pray one of those high 1st rounders turns into a player like that. He’s been an NHL d since he was 18. You know exactly what you get from him every game and he is resilient to injuries.
With the cap going up, that 7.5 is a bargain for Noah’s prime years IMO.
Only trade him if he doesn’t want to be here.
