If anything it's been getting worse rather than better here, at least on the old NHL app you could timeshift a game or start watching it late. The sportsnet app is absolutely brutal, it's pretty clear to me that they are trying to keep people on conventional cable and resist the change that is happening everywhere else in the world.

I never watch games "live". I need to be able to record and watch later or start late. That has been keeping me on cable. Plus I have a grandfathered $40/mth telus package with TSN/SN so it covers what I want.
