There's too much demand for Tanev for the return to underwhelm I think.
Maybe if Conroy was impatient or fell into rookie GM traps that other GMs probably expected when he stepped into the role. But he's shown he can be patient and wait it out for a return they're satisfied with.
Contending GMs will look at what their competition is doing and feel the incentive to get their guy. The pressure of the TDL will lead to a team talking themselves into paying the price to come away with the player they want.
I hope Treliving plays hardball and tries to wait out Conroy, and comes away empty handed, or with his usual fringe add for pennies.
