I thought DS Dann and Chief Truong did a great job trying to answer what they could while keeping the integrity of the case. My own sense was there have been lots of lessons learned by the department, and likely lots of those lessons should be shared with all police forces when they can. The chief seemed genuine with his emotion and care for the victim. As it should be.

The impression that I got was that LPS thought Hockey Canada had taken care of this with a stack of cash and that they werent going to have to do the actual work.
I dont think Cops are incompetent, but its human nature to not waste your time or energy on something that you think is done.
They thought Hockey Canada bought her off and case = closed.
LPS did not consider the concept of 'buying off a victim' that it kinda depends where that money comes from.
Average Canadian family's annual hockey fees, sponsorships, taxpayer money...it becomes problematic.
